Pricing questions
What is the Founding Host offer?
Subscribe to Founding Host before 1 January 2027 and pay £4.99/month for your first 6 paid months, then £9.99/month automatically — no plan change needed. The deadline is about when you join, not when your discount ends. Your 14-day free live trial doesn't count towards the 6 months, and the offer can be used once per account.
Is HIOZ free?
Building is free: create your account, add a property, upload walkthrough videos, build and preview without paying. Publishing for guests requires a live property — your first one is free for 14 days. After that, Founding Host starts at £9.99/month (or £4.99 for the first 6 months while the Founding Host offer is open).
What counts as a "live property"?
A live property is one whose guest guide is currently published and available to guests. Draft, paused and archived properties are unlimited and free — you only pay for guides that are live at the same time.
Can I pause a property?
Yes. Paused properties keep their content and URL but do not count towards your live-property limit, so they are not billed.
How does the 14-day trial work?
The trial starts when you make your first property live — not at signup — so you can take your time building. It covers one live property, requires no credit card, and is one per account.
What if I need more properties than my plan includes?
Add extra live properties for about £4/month each on any paid plan, or move up a plan — HIOZ shows you when a bigger plan would cost less than your current plan plus extras.
Is there annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing gives you 2 months free — for example, Host Plus at £19/month becomes £190/year.
Are guests ever charged, or limited?
Never. Guest visits, video views, QR scans, translations viewed and Ask HIOZ questions are all included. Pricing is based only on your live properties.
Do AI features cost extra?
AI guide creation and translation use ReHub credits (guide creation is 1 credit per minute of video; translating a guide is 1 credit per language). New accounts include free credits, and re-translating after edits is free.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Subscriptions are monthly (or annual) with no lock-in, managed through the secure Stripe billing portal in your account. If you cancel, your guides simply pause — your content is never deleted.
